Rule 1: Become genuinely interested in other people.

If you become genuinely interested in other people you will be welcome at any place/ household. I strongly agree with this quote by Dale Carnegie because when I meet new people, I have a strong interest and curiosity in learning more about them. You would make more friends in month of being interested in people than in a year of someone being interested in you. The only way to make quality, lasting friendships is to learn to be genuinely interested in them and their interests. I will apply this new way to my life by taking more interest into my friends and family instead of being self-centered.

Rule 2: Smile

I totally, 100% agree with this rule in improving your life and making people like you.Smiling is contagious. So even if you aren't happy and someone smiles at you, you have to be pretty pessimistic to not smile back. And if you are happy and you smile at someone, then you can be pretty sure that they will smile back at you. it is critical that you are able to smile even when you don't feel like it if you want people to like you. You don't have to have a smile on your face 24/7 but make sure you're approachable. You may know someone who smiles all the time or a lot and chances are you enjoy seeing or talking to them. That is the impact of a smile. Which is why everyone should smile.

Rule 3: Remember names

I believe that if you can remember someones name by just talking to that person once can really be important to the other person. If a person knows your name and you don't know their name it can be awkward. They might think that you don't respect or care about them enough to remember their name.  They think that they matter to you which they most likely do if you are interested enough to remember their names. If you remember names, you will sooner start making impact on people as they will see you as the person that always greets them by their name.

Rule 4: Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.

I agree with this rule for making people like you. It is an interesting topic to ponder about. It is a true statement as if you actively listen to what other want to tell you. Whether it be a small or notable occurrence, it will make them more likely to talk to you and definitely enjoy you more as a person. If you listen you can be the person people have an ear to always hear their ramblings which is something everyone needs in life.

Rule 5: Talk in terms of the other man's interest.

What I believe this means is being able to talk about things than yourself. See what others like and have a conversation about that. It shows manners and makes you look intelligent because of the level of interest you have. I have another theory that it means to be open minded. Being open minded helps you see things in a different perspective. If you never talk about others interest then later they become the same as you and just talk about themselves. Having an ability like that will help in the long run. It will make people want to talk to you, because you are very rational.When you about others interest you can get ideas from others and make your own idea. This will make a very successful person with a lot of knowledge.

Rule 6: Make the other person feel important--and do it sincerely.

The final rule to make people like you is presented here. The rule is to make other people feel important and do it sincerely. I agree with this method of making people like you because it is done sincerely. If you do anything sincerely you will do it well. Doing things with sincerity makes people think you are driven and motivated. It is important that you think of it in such a way. Making someone feel important is the key to having them enjoy your company which is what you want. You want someone to feel important. You cannot do this without being sincere. Basketball Coach John Wooden said "Making someone feel important is the key to their heart." I wholesomely agree with this statement as this is what this rule is about. Making someone feel important. So In conclusion you must be able to be sincere to make someone feel important.

The 6 rules to make someone like you, it is important to reflect on each and every one of these rules. Consider and think deeply about what makes each of these rules important. It is critical to apply these to your life. Unlike like many other things, these 6 rules can make deep impact in your life. It is unheard of that someone applied these 6 rules and isn't making new friends. It is important to apply these rules in your life to make more people like you. Have that be something like friends, co-workers, or family. It is genuinely interesting that these simple, yet complicated rules can make people like you. It is not hard to apply them and use them but it is hard to have the heart to attempt to application them into your social life. It would be great if you can just apply these life rules without a hitch but there is effort you must put forward towards it. Which is immensely true in this scenario. That is why I think it is important to follow these 6 ways of making people like you, it will help you later in life.
